Refund Policy
Last updated 1 October 2026
Short version: if the service did not do what we said it would, email us and we will refund you. No argument, no form.
You pay nothing unless we find something
Checking a document is free. If we find no problems, you are not charged at all. The $29.99 is only ever charged when we have found something to dispute and you choose to unlock it.
We will refund you in full if
- Your letter never arrived or the page would not load.
- The problems we reported turn out to be wrong, or we misread your bill.
- You were charged twice, or charged when nothing was found.
- You simply are not satisfied with what you received.
Email help@thebilldesk.com within 30 days of your payment. Tell us what went wrong if you want to, but you do not have to justify it. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
What we cannot refund
We cannot refund you because the hospital or insurer rejected your dispute. We check your bill and write your letter. We have no control over how a provider responds, and we never promise an outcome. Disputing a bill works far more often than people expect, but it does not always work.
Before you dispute a charge with your bank: email us first. A refund takes us minutes. A bank dispute takes months and we would almost certainly have just refunded you anyway.
One payment, one bill
Each $29.99 covers the one document it was paid for. A different bill is a separate check and a separate payment. There is no subscription, we do not store your card, and nothing is ever charged automatically.
