Terms of Service
Last updated 1 October 2026
By using The Bill Desk you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
What we do
You send us a medical bill, insurance denial or similar document. We read it, check it for billing problems, and if we find any we prepare a dispute letter for you to send in your own name.
What we are not
We are not a law firm, a medical provider, an insurance company or a financial adviser. We do not give legal, medical or financial advice. We do not represent you, we do not contact your provider or insurer on your behalf, and no relationship of attorney and client is created by using this service. Every letter we write is for you to review, complete and send yourself.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee that we will find problems on your bill, or that a provider or insurer will reduce, correct or cancel any charge. Our review is based only on what is visible in the document you give us. If your bill is unclear, incomplete or is a summary rather than an itemized statement, we may find nothing even where something is wrong.
You are responsible for checking the letter before you send it, and for the facts in it. Fill in the bracketed parts accurately.
Your side of it
- Only upload documents that are yours, or that you are permitted to act on.
- Do not use the service to make a claim you know to be false.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or work around the service.
Payment
Checking is free. If we find problems, unlocking the full findings and your letter costs $29.99 for that document. See our refund policy.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with this service is limited to what you paid us for the document in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any amount a provider or insurer does or does not agree to adjust.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the date at the top will change with them. We may decline or discontinue service to anyone. If we do that and you have paid, we will refund you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
